Classes will take place every Thursday beginning March 7 through April 11 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Service Center training room (2020 Asbury Ave, 2nd Floor, Evanston, IL 60201). The entrance will be the door at the curve of Leon Place.
CERT training will help you build emergency preparedness skills needed to better protect yourself, your family, and even your community. Classes are FREE and for individuals ages 17 and up. Covered topics will include fire safety, basic first aid, organizational leadership, search and rescue, disaster psychology and terrorism, and disaster preparedness. The training of approximately 20 hours will cover classroom instruction and hands-on lessons. More information can be found on the City's webpage.
